The Alliance of Reformed and Theonomic Churches (ARTC)

"The goal of the ARTC is unity within the nuances of certain aspects of diversity while remaining adherent to the "Five Sola" doctrinal structure of the Reformation. The ARTC does not wish to micro-manage every nuance of every congregation such as the methodology of the sacraments, head coverings, liturgy, exclusive psalmody, and non-instrumentation within the worship. These will be left to the local session. The ARTC encourages all worship to be done soberly, in right order and regulated by Scripture."

Learn more about the ARTC, including a directory of its churches, here.

Churches must reject the Federal Vision and New Perspective on Paul heresies.

The ARTC Facebook page is here.

A meeting is planned next week for those interested in joining. From the Facebook page:

"Pastors, and administrative leaders from The ARTC will be meeting on January 15th (Martin Luther King Day) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading, PA. The meeting will begin at 10am but will continue throughout the day.

Any pastor or church leader who may be interested in learning more about the ARTC federation can join us at the Crowne, or go to our website http://www.thereformationalliance.org/ to learn more.

Pilgrims & Patriots Tour November 12-18

"This Thanksgiving season, consider joining a small group of grateful families as we gather together in Plymouth Massachusetts to remember the Lord’s kindness and mercy, just as our Pilgrim Forefather’s did almost 400 years ago. Armed with great faith that upheld them through incredible trials that claimed half of them by the end of the first winter, these 104 hearty souls now have over 30 million descendants! Come spend the week learning, remembering and celebrating the providence of God in our nation’s founding and the birthplace of her spiritual heritage. This remarkable tour will include the celebration of Thanksgiving with a Pilgrim-style feast at Plimoth Plantation. We look forward to seeing you there!"

Reforming the Arts Conference: August 10-12 in Appomattox, VA

About the Reforming Arts Conference
The Reforming Arts Conference is especially designed to help educate, empower and inspire Christian art enthusiasts. It is vital that Christians discover what God has to say about the arts, and the great need and influence the arts have upon a culture.

Although ‘the arts’ encompasses everything from 2-dimensional gallery work to pottery, photography, film-making, literary arts, performing arts and music, this conference will highlight the visual arts. This conference is not only directed to the artist himself, but also to anyone who views, purchases, or simply enjoys it. That includes everyone!

Christians must realize the value and importance of the creative world of the arts as God has intended, whether they produce it or support it in some way.

Be informed and encouraged by attending the first Reforming Arts Conference in Appomattox, Virginia, Thursday – Saturday, August 10th -12th , 2017! The conference will begin with registration on Thursday evening at 6:30 and officially end after the luncheon on Saturday.

"The Truth About Vaccines" Documentary Begins Tonight

This looks to be a very interesting documentary, which begins tonight at 9pm Eastern. Topics in this series include

  • The History of Vaccines
  • Vaccine Risks and Safety Concerns
  • Full List of Options and Alternatives

For more info, click here. Also see the trailer above.

(Disclaimer: the trailer begins by saying that it doesn't matter what side you are on in the vaccine debate, as long as you look carefully at all the information. However, I would say that it does in fact matter what side you are on, considering all the information. Nevertheless, this documentary series looks to be a good starting place for those who want to learn more about vaccines.)

Election Day Sermon with John Weaver - Sunday, November 2, 2014

The Mid-Atlantic Reformation Society is hosting its Fifth Annual Election Day Sermon with Pastor John Weaver on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Location:
The Inn at Reading
1040 North Park Rd Wyomissing, Pennsylvania 19610
Tel: (610) 372-7811

Why election day sermons?
In days past, it was common practice for pastors to address the citizens and the office holders, around election time, reminding them of the biblical duties of both the voter and the civil magistrate.

About Pastor Weaver:
Pastor John Weaver is one of America's most sought after pastors. He was called into the ministry in 1965. Pastor Weaver earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and attended graduate school at Bob Jones University. He has pastored and helped plant several churches and Christian schools. He has authored three books: The Christian and Civil Government, The Sovereignty of God and Civil Government, and The Biblical Truth About God's Righteous Vengeance. Like Paul, his goal is to preach the whole counsel of God, something that is sadly missing in today's pulpits. Pastor Weaver is a distinguished graduate (multiple times) from Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and also teaches the Front Sight methodology in his training classes.

Landmark Events

"At Landmark Events we are passionate about teaching history to the next generation. When our children, and we ourselves, study true history they will develop a sense of context, understanding that they are not a random occurrence amidst a sea of random occurrences, but uniquely placed in time.

"The benefits they now enjoy were wrought by the sacrifice of their predecessors, and consequently they have a duty to steward what has been given them and an appropriate weight of responsibility to provide for the following generation. As we mine the treasures of history together, we will foster a sense of gratitude for our present inheritance and nurture a vision of hope for our future."

2013 Family Economics & Discipleship Mega Conference

With Western Economies on Unsteady Ground, It’s Now or Never.
The economies of the world around us rise and fall, corporations come and go. As the debt loads of Western nations reach skyrocketing proportions, the future of our macro-economy can look a little bleak. But we are hopeful and excited about the future of the family economy. Families around America are beginning to see the vision for work and economics that existed for over 4,000 years – family-based production in the context of the household. Forget about world GDP, population implosion, or the CPI for just a moment, and consider the power of a family unit knit together in relationship, love, and honor—all diligently working toward the single goal of being productive for the kingdom of God.

The Opportunity for Relationship and Discipleship
You’ve heard about family-based education (commonly called homeschooling or home discipleship). Many families have seen the disintegration of family relationships over the last few decades and responded by integrating relationship and character into their home and their children’s lives. But what about the 80% or more of real life not directly connected to classroom learning? What about your family’s work, your budget, your finances, your higher education and vocational training, your health care, your inheritance, and your overall financial vision? Does your family have a unified, integrated vision for where you will be in 5, 10, and 20 years from now? Will you be able to accomplish that together? Family Economics takes the next step in incorporating a Biblical vision for the family’s economics on all levels, and seeks to practically equip families across America with the steps to build their household-based economy, one family at a time.

While politicians are positioning for power and bankers scheme on the future of the world financial markets, we’re preparing families to grab a hammer and anvil and forge a fruitful household economy for the kingdom of God! This is the vision that you will find at our Family Economics conferences held around the country every year, and we believe it couldn’t come at a better time. Register now at www.FamilyEconomics.com to lock in the early-bird rate.
