"Cultivated 'for' God speaks to God’s purpose in working in our lives, why He cultivates us, as well as cultivating all that is around us. It is for His glory and His pleasure that He is the great cultivator. Yes we will benefit from His work but that benefit is to be defined by God and not our sinful nature that so often seeks to be pleased.
