"Over 4 years ago our little 'Taiter-bug' was born prematurely at 27 weeks, weighing just 2lbs. 9oz. Thankfully with much prayer, support and expert medical attention, and after 3 months in the neonatal intensive care unit, Little Tait was released; he is now a happy, healthy 4-year-old little boy, doing all the things that normal 4-year-old boys do!
"Unfortunately, due to the extensive medical care that he needed, we ended up with a $900,000 hospital/doctor bill. In the months after his hospital stay, we were able to raise over $50,000 in 60 days to settle the neonatologist (baby doctor) bill of nearly $200,000.
"Now, after years of negotiating with Providence Hospital, and a standard reduction from over $700,000 to $360,000, the hospital has agreed to settle the remaining debt if we can come up with $100,000 in the next 90 days.
"Obviously, this is still a lot of money, and we're asking for help. We'll be contributing as much as we possibly can, but need prayers and additional support from the body of Christ in order to meet this need.
