Walter Beseant compared Coligny to Joshua in 1879.
I have read, however, that Coligny was code-named Elijah by the Huguenots, the Duke François of Guise was code-named Sennacherib, and Catherine of Medici was called, unsuprisingly, Jezebel.
My reference for this is a modern historical novel and not a history book per se (Fortune de France, tome I), but the author did a fair amount of research before writing, so I believe this info to be trust worthy.
I'm going to download this...I have benefited from Joe Morecraft from the past.
